The Agribusiness Council will address the Spokane business leadership on June 14 when they present, “Good Morning Greater Spokane—Agribusiness: Food for Thought.”

The discussion, which will focus on the issue of the impact agriculture has on the region’s economy will take place on June 14 at 7am at the Spokane club, 1002 West Riverside Avenue, in Spokane.

Chairman of the Council, Jay Allert said,

“We have agribusinesses here in Spokane that have even global reach. It all happens right here. We want people to realize how significant it is.”

Allert believes it is crucial that the public be aware of issues so that they can address those policies that could lead to increased costs.

“If we don’t inform the public of the consequences, it can affect our business, and we can’t let that happen,” he said.
