May 6 is the date set for a working luncheon for farmers and agricultural producers. The luncheon is an event sponsored by the Value Chain Cluster Initiative (VC2). Also hosting are the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority (NRGRDA), West Virginia State University (WVSU), and Natural Capital Investment (NCIF).

The luncheon, which is expected to last about two hours, is being billed as the Farm, Food and Finance event. It will be held at the Oak Hill City council Chambers and focused on helping businesses to expand effectively and successfully.

“Developing a vibrant and productive agribusiness sector is one component of our new economic development model in the New River Gorge Region. Come out May 6 and learn about new markets, innovative ways to expand your production capabilities and most importantly connect to potential lenders,” said a representative of the NRGRDA.
